Meet Your host
Greetings, I’m Magnus
I’ve been passionate about beauty and concerned about the often flat and pointless fruit of modernism, especially since I had a personal crisis of meaning and purpose in my early twenties. Waking up to the power of classical beauty through my music studies in the US had a profound effect on my aspiration in in life and was an important factor in bringing me to the church and saving faith. From then on I left the rock band and started playing electric guitar in Norwegian churches with violin and organ and composing classical music that started to come to my mind.
I founded the organization Composers for Beauty in 2023, as well as the Together for Beauty Summits to help my fellow composers connect and collaborate with other like-minded creatives.
As a host of the podcast Beauty and the Faith I became aware of the deep seated hostility toward traditional beauty across disciplines.
This further motivated me to facilitate a movement to unite the voices that have had enough of modernism and are able and ready to revive beauty in a holistic and force-multiplying way.
I have come in contact with many who are increasingly able to get their beautiful creative work out there, so let’s stop reinventing the wheel separately and become better together. Collaborating with the legendary Harmonia Classica contests and concerts in Vienna and bringing our next summit to a physical location in Oslo, we are now already building a strong foundation to transform hearts, minds, and culture through beauty.

When and Where
The Together For Beauty Summit will run from June 06-08 at 4-9 pm CET (Norwegian timezone) with a variety of presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and concerts to choose from each day. This event can be attended in-person, but we only have about 100 seats available each day (send us an email to [email protected] for a link to buy a ticket for about 18 euro a day). Since we have limited space and would like that people who can not travel also can benefit, we offer the main part of the event for free and entirely virtual through Zoom, so you’ll be able to attend from anywhere in the world with internet access.

It’s all about providing classical inspired composers, musicians, painters and sculptors, within a mainly traditional style, actionable strategies on how to multiply their impact to accelerate the revival of meaningful beauty. There are lots of summits and other resources out there about basic marketing or craft, but this summit will specifically cover the micro, meso, and macro strategies that show how to overcome the main sticking to get passed the modernist gatekeepers and reach a wide audience on a deep level.
That requires innovative and collaborative ideas in areas as production and delivery that we will reveal and discuss.
If you’re curious about how some are able to get their beautiful work shared and appreciated, and you want to the same or want to support them, this is for you. It is also for you if you are dedicated to become a pro I want to find ways to scale big and long-term, while transforming culture for generations to come.
The main portion of the summit runs from June 06-08 2024 from 4-9 pm (CET). You’ll also be able to join our Facebook community which we will point you to as soon as you register, so you can join in right away to engage!
There will be some extra pre-forum sessions on June 5, streamed LIVE on Facebook and YouTube, so keep an eye out for that as well.
All of the presentations and Q&A sessions for the summit are LIVE, and we highly encourage you to think creatively about how you can make it LIVE, but we will make recordings available for most of the session that will be released publicly over time. When you show up LIVE, we will also have a networking breakout session, but if you really have no chance, the second best thing would be to participate with others in the Marketplace group on Facebook who are pursuing to facilitate beauty.
Your free ticket includes live access to presentations and concerts which will be linked to in the summit calendar each day. If you miss them, keep an eye out for released of recordings over time after the summit. If you want access to recordings as soon as they are edited, you can always upgrade your ticket to the All Access Pass after registering.
To give both the speakers and the participants the best possible opportunity to connect and engage, and to make the presentations as inspiring as we can, we will have each session LIVE at this summit on Zoom. In addition, many of the speakers will be hanging out in our Facebook group with dedicated threads where you can connect with them and ask your questions as well if we for example didn’t get to your questions in the Q&A sessions
No. When you register, you’ll be added to the Together for Beauty email list so we can send you updates for the event and links to each day’s presentations. After the summit is over, you’ll continue to hear from us, but you can unsubscribe at any time.
Most of the speakers will have free resources available that you can access by providing an email address, but the speakers will not get your email address unless you choose to give it to them specifically. That way, you only hear from the people you really love and don’t have to worry about getting added to 10+ email lists that you’re not interested in.
No. Because of the LIVE element of the event, but many of the recordings will be published with subtitles. With that said, there are apps you can use that will automatically transcribe for you.
